Facts

1. The Rosenbergs weren't the   only ones that betrayed the U.S.. They were part of the Soviet Spy Ring. Harry Gold, David Greenglass, and  Morton Sobell were some other criminals part of the spry ring who were arrested during the same time as the Rosenbergs. 

2. It took 3 years after Etheland Julius Roenberg were arrested to be executed.

3. Many people today still think that  this case was unfairly treated and will like to re-opened the case.

  • Execution (n)- the carrying out or putting into effect of a plan, order, or course of action

  • Trial (n)- a formal examination of evidence before a judge, and typically before a jury, in order to decide guilt in a case of criminal or civil proceedings

  • Atomic Bomb (n)-a bomb that produces an extremely powerful explosion when atoms are split apart

  • Espionage (n)- the practice of spying or of using spies, typically by governments to obtain political and military information

  • Soviet Union (n)- a former federation of communist republics that occupied the northern half of Asia and part of eastern Europe; capital, Moscow. Created from the Russian empire in the aftermath of the 1917 Russian Revolution, the Soviet Union was the largest country in the world. After World War II, it emerged as a superpower that rivaled the US and led to the Cold War. After decades of repression and economic failure, the Soviet Union was formally dissolved in 1991. Some of its constituents joined a looser confederation, the Commonwealth of Independent States.
